Does the Radio Mute When the Nav Talks?

Just got a used 2020 Lexus UX, and now I’m on the lookout for some tech tips!

Is there a way to make my car’s radio auto mute when the nav system is dishing out directions? It’s super annoying when the music’s blasting while the nav is trying to give me the scoop!

Anyone know if this is doable or have any sneaky workarounds?

Ugh, I totally feel you! It’s so ridiculous that there’s no option to mute the audio automatically during nav instructions.

Anyway, I’ve figured out a workaround by hitting the MAP button to replay the last direction. And sometimes I just mute it manually or volume down the radio. Total hassle, right?

Seriously! It feels like a major oversight, right? I’m definitely gonna give that MAP button trick a shot. But tbh, muting manually is just annoying when you’re behind the wheel!

Why don't you just the nav voice volume separately from the radio volume in the settings menu? Just sayin'.

You'd think the car would know to hush the tunes when the GPS is talking, right? Check your audio settings; there’s usually an option for that.

You can usually adjust the volume of the voice directions in the nav settings. Sometimes there's even an option to mute it completely or lower the volume when it's giving you instructions
