Just picked up my new UX300h on Tuesday, and wow, this car is packed with tech – quite a jump from my old 2012 CT200h! Figured I’d share some first impressions here since there isn’t a dedicated UX300h page.

What’s Standing Out So Far:
  • Gadgets Galore: This thing is loaded! I even splurged on the 10-year/12k “gadget insurance” for peace of mind.
  • Drive Quality: Love the elevated ride compared to my CT, and the Android Auto works smoothly – best in-car experience I’ve had in a while.
  • Tire Shock: Run-flat tires are around $450 each, and I hear they might only last 20k miles! Thankfully, I got the tire insurance.
  • Safety Tech: The Lexus Safety System 3.0 is mostly good – adaptive cruise control is solid, but lane assist could use some work.
  • Interior Highlights: Lots of USB-C ports (finally!), a well-positioned screen, and a surprisingly clear mic for phone calls – no more tin-can sound!
  • Small Annoyances: Cruise control buttons took some adjusting to, and the wireless charger feels a bit weak. Also, I wish I’d gotten AWD, but North Carolina winters aren’t too rough.

The UX300h drives great overall, but it’s a bit noisier on the road than I expected. So far, I’d give it four out of five stars, only holding back because of the high tire costs. Looking forward to more drives and getting fully settled into it! Any other UX300h owners here?

@AbelGeor welcome to the forum! Nice choice on the UX300h! Sounds like you're loving all the tech stuff. I'm thinking of upgrading my old Lexus too, so it's good to hear your thoughts.

Those tire costs are crazy, though. I'll keep that in mind.

Have you tried messing with the lane assist settings? Sometimes that can help.

Looking forward to hearing more about your new ride! Enjoy it!

Congrats on the new UX300h! Sounds like you're loving it. I can relate to the sticker shock of those tire costs, glad you got insurance! Hope you get used to the minor annoyances. Looking forward to hearing more about your experiences with it!

How are you finding the hybrid system’s fuel economy compared to your old CT200h so far?

I totally agree that those tires need to go. The first thing I did after driving off the lot was to look up reviews, and let me tell you, they weren't good. So, I knew I'd be replacing them ASAP.
