I've been driving my used UX 250H with those run-flat tires, and honestly, it’s not handling those bumpy roads as smoothly as I’d hoped.

Has anyone out there thought about ditching the run-flats for some regular tires for a better ride? I’m super curious if it makes a difference!
Love to hear your thoughts and any tips you’ve got! Thanks.

I changed my other car's tires to non run flats tires, and they're softer and don't handle as well as the run flats. But they're cheaper to replace. Not worth it for me to go back using run flat tires.

Run-flats, yeah, tend to have a stiffer ride, which can make bumps more noticeable. Swapping them for regular tires, could definitely give you a smoother ride on rough roads.
But there is a downside. You will lose the ability to keep driving after a flat, but the ride comfort and lower replacement costs could be worth it. Just be sure to carry a spare or repair kit if you make the switch. I hope it helps.

Thanks for the insights, folks! Yeah, totally heard about that trade-off with the flat ability. But honestly, I’m all about comfort, especially when it comes to those bumpy rides.

Appreciate your responses!

The sidewalls of run-flat tires have to be much stiffer to allow the tires to be able to have zero air pressure and continue to rotate without safety issues.
