Hi all!

I bought a Lexus UX300h 3 years ago (August 2021) and I have had recurring battery problems since then. It wouldn't want to start two times, 3 months later after I bought it, and, like 7 months later after the first time. Every time I had to take it to the dealership, and each time they stated the battery was in a good state. They even tested for leaks and still nothing. They suggested I buy a trickle charger to keep the battery charged. I mean, really? I didn't spend a fortune on the car, only to buy extra equipment to keep it functional. Interested if you guys had such an issue because I have heard there are other drivers who had to deal with the same thing.

Sorry you had to go through all that, many UX300h owners have reported similar battery issues.

Ok, so the question is, how often do you hit the road, and how far do you usually go? If your trips aren’t long enough, your experience makes perfect sense.

Wow, I didn't realize the UX300h had this kind of issue! I am actually considering buying one, but this battery thing sounds discouraging. It seems odd that a newer car would need a trickle charger just to stay reliable. Have you noticed if the problem is worse in colder weather, or is it pretty random?

A friend of mine had a similar issue with her UX300h. The dealership kept saying the battery was fine, but she’d still end up with a dead car every few months. She finally went with a trickle charger, which helped, but it’s definitely not ideal. It's surprising they haven't addressed this more directly, she expected a long-term fix, too.

It is frustrating, but at least you have an option. Or, buy a new car. But I don't think it would be to convenient.
