Hey yall.

I’m having a total Bluetooth headache in my car! My wife and I both use our phones, but it seems like we have to manually connect each time we hop in. Even if I turn off my Bluetooth, her phone still won’t connect automatically.

Is there a way to fix this, or are we doomed to manually connect it every single time? Ugh!

First, check which phone is connected.
- press the off-hook button on the steering wheel
- then look at the display
- if her phone isn't connected, press the virtual connect button
- select if from the list on the screen
- if you see more users, just delete them and add her phone again.
Try this process and tell me if it works.

In my experience with other Toyota and Lexus models, I found that after pressing the off-hook button on the steering wheel, a "Connect Phone" button shows up on the screen. You can check if there are any old phones listed in the Bluetooth settings; deleting and re-adding them can help. You can even rename the phones and vehicle in the Bluetooth settings to make it easier to connect.

I think this is a phone matter. Just make sure that both phones have their Bluetooth set to "automatic connection" and that you have deleted any old devices that might interfere.

Got it fixed yet? You might need to prioritize one phone as the primary device in the Bluetooth settings.
