The Lexus UX Hybrid offers a step up in refinement from Toyota’s small SUVs with more premium features like power seats for both front passengers and a quieter more comfortable ride. It’s fuel-efficient, stylish, and compact making it a great urban-friendly hybrid.

That said, the cargo space is pretty tight, which could be a drawback for anyone who needs a more versatile hatch area. While it’s plenty roomy in terms of headroom, even in the back, it might not be the best fit for those needing extra storage for road trips or larger gear.

For those who’ve spent time with the UX Hybrid does the premium feel outweigh the practicality trade-offs?

Yeah, the UX Hybrid feels premium for what it is, but let’s not pretend it’s practical. The cargo space is laughably small for a crossover, and the hybrid system isn’t exactly thrilling in terms of power. If you just want a luxury badge and good fuel economy, fine. But if you actually need space, you might as well look at the NX or something bigger.
